Return & Refund Policy

How long do I have to return my order?


We want you to be happy with your freshly acquired masterpiece.
As your satisfaction is our main priority, we will provide a trial period of a maximum of 14 days upon receipt of the artwork, during which time the order can be returned to us and we will provide the refund, as mentioned in our Terms and Conditions.




Am I eligible for a full refund?


Of course, but we ask you to respect the timeframe of 14 days to notify us by e-mail in case you want to return your item(s) in order to be eligible for a full refund. Also, the artwork must be kept and returned in perfect condition, including the original packaging. This is requested to guarantee a smooth return procedure as art is delicate and fragile. Also, the Certificate of Authenticity provided with your order has to be send along with the return shipment. Please bear in mind we are unable to accept any returns without it. Here below you read which steps to take to successfully return your order.




How do I return my order?


If for any reason, you want to return your order, first send an email to info@artrootz.com -including your order number - within 14 days upon receipt of the artwork to be eligible for a full refund. After notifying us, the artwork has to be shipped back to our office in the Netherlands within a timeframe of 7 days using a traceable shipping method.

Please take into consideration the following criteria to ensure a flawless process:

- Securely repackage the artwork in perfect condition using the original packaging materials.

Include the Certificate of Authenticity too, without it, we are unable to process your return. If you have already disposed of the original packaging, you will be responsible for purchasing packaging materials and sending the artwork back to us safely.

- Arrange to send the packaged artwork directly back to Artrootz using a traceable shipping method by a premium carrier.

- Email all shipping details including your order number and tracking number to info@artrootz.com.




How do I get reimbursed after having returned an artwork?


If we are able to accept your return, you will receive a full refund within 14 days, after the receipt of the artwork by ArtRootz.
This will be arranged swiftly by the method you used to pay via the website.




Who is responsible for shipment costs if I return my order?


We cannot offer refunds on the cost of returning your order. The charges to ship the artwork back to our office remains your responsibility, unless you return an artwork damaged before delivery. In this case you may be exempt from shipping charges. Artrootz is not responsible for undelivered returns, we would therefore strongly recommend you to insure the shipping when returning an artwork.




Is it possible to cancel an order before receiving it?


Yes, if you have changed your mind shortly after placing an order this is possible. However, your request for cancellation has to be made within 24 hours after your purchase. We cannot take requests into consideration after this period of time. Do you want to cancel your order, but the limit of 24 hours has passed? Contact us immediately at info@artrootz.com.





Shipping & Packaging

I placed an order, when can I expect my artwork to be delivered?


As we collaborate with various artists spread all across the globe, processing and shipping times will depend on the origin of the artwork and shipping destination. Also, the artwork will be thoroughly checked and packaged by ArtRootz before it will be shipped to you.

In general, it takes two to four weeks before you can expect your masterpiece to reach your doorstep. Some orders may be processed faster, while others might take more time, particularly if they require special packaging or handling. We do our best to provide you with the best service and ship as quickly as possible. As our main priority is to make sure your item is in perfect condition, we appreciate your patience. Does ArtRootz provide a track and trace code for shipment?


Yes, we do. When your order is shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number. You can check the status of your package and the estimated delivery date online by using the tracking number.




Which company will ship my order?


All art sold on our website is dispatched first from the artist to Artrootz using premium carriers. We will check and package each individual piece carefully before sending it to you to ensure optimal quality.

We exclusively use professional carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS as well as fine art handling companies. The carrier selected will depend on the artwork’s origin, the shipping destination and any special packaging/handling requirements.




How is my order packaged?


Each piece of art is carefully and securely packed by a specialised company in a custom-built box. Shipping labels and other necessary custom documents and the Certificate of Authenticity are included too. Please note that if you would like to return your order, the item must be in perfect state and sent to us in the original packaging. Therefore, we strongly advise you to be very careful when opening the packaging and unwrapping the artwork. Handling gloves are included in the box, it’s better to be safe than sorry.




What about the shipping and insurance costs?


No insurance or shipping costs will be charged. ArtRootz insures every shipment to secure a smooth delivery and minimise risks. Also, the shipping charges will be paid by ArtRootz. Bear in mind that the costs to ship the artwork back to our office remains your responsibility. More information about this can be found in our return and refund policy.




Do you deliver art to every country in the world?


ArtRootz ships to most countries. If your country is not an option at checkout, e-mail us at info@artrootz.com and we will contact our carriers directly to get a delivery quote.




Do I need to sign for my package upon delivery?


Yes, all packages must be accepted and signed for upon delivery. Due to the valuable nature of artworks, packages should not be left unattended, and we strongly advise you to check that the packaging of the artwork is in good condition before approving a delivery.




What about customs charges?


ArtRootz delivers artwork internationally. Please note that international orders may be subject to relevant customs duties of the destination country. These customs fees should be paid upon arrival and are in addition to shipping and handling costs. Artrootz is not in the position to reimburse you for any of these possible costs as customs charges are governmental taxes. Please contact us or your local customs office for further information before placing your order.




How do you declare goods for international orders?


This varies per country. ArtRootz provides each shipment with a customs declaration form. In case customs demand more additional information from the buyer, we assist them with clearing shipment.




Will I be charged duties and taxes by the customs of my country?


You may be charged duties by your country’s customs. If this will happen or not, is depending upon the artwork and customs laws and regulations of your country. ArtRootz keeps a close watch on orders going through customs. As each order has the needed documentation, it is guaranteed that minimal duties are applied.
